ICT Lab Renovated with UK OBA’s 2.4 Million Rupees (£6,000) Funding Support

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the UK OBA community for your generous support, which enabled the renovation of Jaffna Hindu College’s ICT facilities. Thanks to your contributions, the ICT lab now houses 90 computers—doubling our teaching capacity and allowing two classrooms to conduct lessons simultaneously.

The UK OBA invested 2.4 million rupees (£6,000) in this project. The official opening ceremony of the newly renovated ICT lab, sponsored by the UK OBA, was held on 19th May 2025. The lab was ceremonially opened by OBA Secretary, Mr. Rameshkumar.

This renovation follows UK OBA’s previous contribution of approximately £6,000 lat year, which funded the installation of smart boards in Year 11 classrooms-further demonstrating our ongoing commitment to advancing digital learning.
