Grand Opening “திடல்”

The principal and staff of Jaffna Hindu College and their UK OBA are proudly making elaborate arrangements to declare open the state of the art, play ground, fondly known as திடல், equipped with electronic scroreboard, club house etc.

It has two turf half pitches on the side for practices , new build club house facility and a matting wicket in the middle for matches.

The imposing structure of Club House / கழக மனை is first of its kind for a school play ground in the northern peninsula and a precedent set for others to follow.

The grand opening ceremony is to take place on 12 th and 13 th of November.

Royal College U 19 Cricket XI has been invited to play a 30 overs game against the combined Jaffna Schools XI on the grand day of opening in Jaffna at the new grounds.

JHC is well known for producing illustrious students in the field of education, year on year, in comparison with the other leading schools in the island.

One could now notice them making steady progress in sports administration too which will undoubtedly boost the morale of students & parents alike and an endorsement to the standing image of the school itself.
